Jamaica a Caribbean Destination
If you are planning to head to the Caribbean for a holiday, then Jamaica should feature high on your list of
Caribbean destinations. Whether you are traveling with your family or friends, this island is guaranteed to turn
your holiday into an unforgettable experience. There is so much to see and do that a little planning in advance
will benefit you greatly. Undoubtedly beaches form a major part of Jamaica’s tourist attractions and the two
resorts of Negril and Montego Bay are home to quite a few popular beaches.
Negril Beach or often referred to as Seven Mile Beach because of its length is a popular beach resort. The
restaurants, bars and pubs draw both tourists and locals alike all day long. The beach is safe and appropriate for
a cool swim, snorkeling or a diving tour.
The other popular beach resort is Montego Bay, which also boasts a number of interesting beaches and diving
sites. Founded in 1906 by a group of doctors and even named after them, Doctor’s Cave Beach is a popular bathing
site and the waters here are known to possess curative powers. The crystal clear waters are fed by mineral springs
and usually have a temperature of between 78 degrees F and 84 degrees F. The bathing spot also contains a couple of
dining options, changing areas and showers.
Another must see site is the Dunn’s River Falls, which is a majestic 600 ft waterfall that cascades graciously,
crisscrossing slippery little steps before merging into the deep blue sea. You can enjoy the majestic site from a
distance or even dare to climb up the falls with the help of an experienced guide, or swim in small whirlpools.
Who can forget the famous Bob Marley or the James Bond novels? Visit these two great legends home and museums at
Ocho Rios resort. Take a tour of the famous Bob Marley Mausoleum or enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings with
a ride on the Chukka Cove’s Zion Bus. James Bond fans can visit the famous Goldeneye estate on which Ian Fleming
wrote his legendary spy series.

Last but definitely not the least is the capital Kingston, which too has a number of interesting
attractions including the 120-year old Devon House Heritage Site that is known for hosting events
even now. Also the coffee plantations that date back to two centuries are yet another well-known
site that gives you a glimpse into the lifestyle of yesteryears.
With so much see and absorb, it isn’t surprising that most visitors choose to stay in one of the
Jamaica villas, where you can stay for as long as you want and still feel absolutely at home.
Vacation villas in Jamaica are an ideal combination of hotel and home in that they combine the
luxuries of a hotel with the privacy and space that only a home can provide.
